A trusting pineapple

How is your 2018 pineapple journey starting off? The energy and spirit of the people we are around at the beginning of a new year is very contagious & I really enjoy it.

If you haven’t had a chance to read my blog Do Pineapples Expire?… I encourage you to do so because this blog is all about the phrase I decided to focus on in 2018.

Trusting the Plan.

What I mean by this is focusing my year on trusting God & the plan he has in place for me.

When we go through big changes in our life like high school graduation/moving to college. Graduating college/starting your first adult job. Officially moving out of your parents’ house/learning how to pay all your bills…Jeremiah 29:11 is a popular verse for people to lean on.

“For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.”

When looking for comfort in times of difficulty, people can lean on this verse and remember that God has a plan. What I am hoping to work on this year is to focus on that every day, every minute.

I have a tendency to overthink situations and cause myself a lot of anxiety. For a little while I thought it was improving, but this pineapple forgets to put on her crown every now and then and the anxiety creeps back up.

The reason I decided that Trusting the Plan was going to be what I focused on this year was because when I stop and think about the bigger plan God has in store for me, it eases my anxiety.

Trust is hard. It is the foundation of all relationships. If I’m being honest, I have asked myself many times, why am I quick to trust _______ …person that I barely know, but question God?

Have you had similar thoughts?

This year, my pineapple journey is about focusing on faith. What does that look like for me?

Be a Pineapple.

Be Sweet on the Inside: Be kind & share your faith with others/be willing to hear their lessons.
Wear A Crown: Remember to love what God has created (YOU).
Stand Tall: Be confident in your faith.

&& I can do all of this—by Trusting the Plan.

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Joshua 1:9

What will your pineapple journey be focused on this year?—I’d love to hear!
